What's a good religion for me?

O.K. I'm not asking you to flat out tell me what religion I should choose, I just want to know what I should look into. O.K. so I believe in god and believe that there is something higher than life. I believe that there is a purpose in life, but we shouldn't know it. cuz that would defeat the whole purpose of life. I don't want to be in a religion that says flat out "my religion is right and yours isn't". I don't want one that trys to "brainwash" you into conforming to that religion like Catholicism (no offense, i just don't agree with catholic views). I believe that we weren't just plopped down here either. But i also don't believe in the whole atheism thing. I just want something that isn't about shamming other religions, and that believing in a high purpose
