What's a product for softening water and reduce/prevent water spots that's similar to Mr. Clean Auto Dry?

I just found out about the Mr. Clean product and shortly after that it's discontinued despite great reviews I've read about it. I had planned on trying distilled water for a final motorcycle rinse but having an inline filter for tap water softening would be more practical. What products do you know that exist that do that kinda job?
