For eddie van halen/ guitar fans.. I have a question?

if i play eruption in the talent show.. Is it ok tto look at myself playing during the tapping part.. Also is it ok to sorta cheat at the end...instead of moving my fret hand back and forth at the very end... I keep it in one spot
